Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life…winning Lucie’s heart before she gives it to someone else.

Beyond the scope of a ‘Cinderella-esque’ story, this is a story of woman’s path of finding self-confidence again after having it taken away from a past relationship. The fun part is gaining the confidence under the guidance – and seduction – of an unlikely male in an unlikely circumstance.

When Lucie Miller becomes an eager learner of the game of seduction in order to catch the man of her dreams that will, in theory, give her the picket-fence family and future she craves, she had no idea that the person teaching her the art of seduction would be an old family friend who’s only gotten sexier over the years. Oh, and his career of being a MMA fighter is the opposite of everything she ever wanted? Or is it?

Maybe what she really needs is someone who appreciates her for who she is without the glitz and glamor. Maybe she needs someone who finds her disorganization and klutziness cute and intriguing. Maybe what she really needs is not the man she’s trying to capture the attention of, but the man who is slowly teaching her to appreciate who she is, and simultaneously gaining her heart.

SEDUCING CINDERELLA was a hot, quick read that was nicely developed and wrapped up in 177 pages. The chemistry between Lucie and Reid is rife with sexual tension, and when they finally give in to the overly heated, much anticipated desires (under the guise of a “learning” experience, of course *g*) it is nothing short of smokin’ hot!! With a dominating male who radiates ‘alpha sexy’, and a woman who learns to appreciate herself after so many years of doubting, make the sexy scenes yummy and believable. Author Gina Maxwell also weaves in some fabulous humor to this story making the scenes and banter fun.

I really enjoy stories of empowerment and falling in love with an unlikely person, so for me SEDUCING CINDERELLA was a great read. The plot line was fun; after all how many MMA fighters take to helping pick out clothes and teaching a woman how to ‘get’ the man? :) The secondary characters were just as enjoyable. And, oh my gosh, does the inappropriate best friend of Lucie’s (Vanessa) remind me of great friend of mine who always makes me laugh at her bluntness. I absolutely loved Vanessa!

The recommendation: Readers who love fun, short, hot reads, with an alpha-like male and a heroine who learns how to play the part of seductress under the ‘loving’ hands of the seducing instructor will enjoy. There’s plenty of smexiness and some enjoyable, laughable banter. In 177 pages the story line and characters are developed and wrapped up nicely. And the ending is worthy of any modern Cinderella-esque ending.

I will definitely be looking forward to the next book of Gina’s! This was a great start to a new sexy series!

Great review thank you! I would like the story minus the hotness please ;)
Question: does the doctor she thinks she wants finally see her and regret it in the end?
