Top Ten Reasons Cowboys Are Sexy?
I am so glad that Novel Reflections allowed me to come here and spread this very important message. Without this list women everywhere would be stumped when this very common party question was asked. So women have no fear. I got your backs. I put together a very quick reference guide to help.
The top ten reasons why cowboys are sexy because…
When thinking of cowboys people automatically think of Texas, and well, Texas has the reputation of being the biggest state, having the biggest hats, and possibly the biggest…anyways you get my drift.
Cowboys are usually working outside in the hot sun, not sitting behind a computer growing all pasty and vitamin D deficient.
There is something about a man wearing a Stetson that screams of confidence and mystery all at the same time. An seemingly irresistible combination to me, uh, I mean most woman.
Cowboys are always shirtless. Okay, not sure if real cowboys go around everywhere half naked, but all the cowboys in my head are tanned, smooth chested, and with washboard stomachs. Hey, if I looked like that I’d go around without a shirt…except that would be illegal in most states.
They are good with their hands.
There is that thing they do when they touch the brim of their hat and say “yes ma’am” in that deep, sexy, voice.
Do I even have to mention those tight fitting Wranglers they all wear?
Most of them have great smiles and forget to shave…sigh.
Did I mention they are good with their hands?
And the top number
I am beyond excited that the first book in the Texas Fever series, TEXAS WIDE OPEN, will be out November 15th. To see if this floats your boat (and really if you read the list above why wouldn’t it) I put the blurb and a teaser below. If you can’t wait until the 15th you can go ahead and leave your name and email address, and I’ll be giving away one e-book to a random commenter. Oh, and don’t be sad if Rafflecopter doesn’t pick your name. You can always order your copy at all major online retailers.
I encourage stalking in all forms, but FB and Twitter are the most effective. I also have a blog, Romance With An Edge, that I like to think helps readers keep abreast of the most currant and important issues of our day (see list above). Thank you again, Novel Reflections for letting me stop by and party!
Back Cover Blurb
Katie Harris loved growing up on a ranch. She had her horse, the beautiful Texas prairie, and Cole Logan, the cowboy next door. But there are a lot of secrets hidden under a Texas sky…
Katie always knew she’d marry Cole one day—until he broke her dreams and her heart. But now that Katie’s father is sick, she’s back home, older, wiser, and nowhere near the love-sick fool she once was.
Cole knows Katie doesn’t want anything to do with him. But after so many years, he can’t pretend she’s no more than a neighbor. Not when thinking about her cherry lip gloss and hell-for-leather passion is keeping him up all night. Holding his ground was hard enough when she was seventeen. Now that she’s her own woman, Cole’s heart doesn’t stand a chance…
Just a tease…
Katie watched as Cole slowly turned, and at the sight of his bare chest, smooth and ripped with muscle, she locked her knees to keep upright. Instead of his inviting smile, there was a hardness she rarely saw that contrasted with the desire in his eyes.
Cole stood and stared. The silence between them crackled as if a whole conversation could be said without words.
Her breathing quickened as her nipples contracted into small, tight buds, sensitive to the brush of the cotton across them. She refused to hide her body’s reaction even as a flush of heat rushed to her cheeks. She’d been waiting all of her life for this moment. She was tired of hiding. She was ready. Unashamed, she gazed in his eyes and let the wealth of her feelings pour into her face.
Cole was no coward—he returned stare for stare—but she could see his jaw flex and knew he was pissed. She’d pushed him hard, but this was where the women separated themselves from the girls.
“I’m not a child any longer.” She took a step closer.
“And I told you, if you wear that shirt again, I’ll burn it,” he growled.
But Cole would have to do more than display a little anger to scare her. Before she lost courage, Katie crossed her arms and pulled.
She threw her shirt in his face, along with her challenge. “Go ahead and do it.”
